2. A Tour Company, Cruise Line or Hotel Agent may be an expert on their specific product and will do their best to sell it to you, but it may not be the best fit for your needs and interests.  A Travel Agent can recommend the best fit for you.

You may be able to find a “cheap” price from one of the online discount travel sites, but you may find that the ocean view room you booked is really looking at the parking lot.  Unless, that is, you lean way over the railing and crane your neck for a glimpse of your ocean view.  Or, how about the romantic weekend away you had planned at a resort with one pool that happens to be filled with screaming kids.  A Travel Agent can help you avoid situations like this.
